After trying to handle this bike's seat-area heat issue with heat shields (somewhat effective, but still a bother), I took the more complicated option of wrapping the offending downpipe. After a week of tough climbs both on- and off-road I can honestly say this has completely solved the issue for me.

A Bit About Me

Making my living in the high-tech space (and loving it), my life outside work is devoted to my kids, my love of photography (still, video, editing, processing), a slew of hobbies (off-roading on foot and 2/4 wheels, diving, sailing, books, films, music), and even some musical aspirations (singing, keyboard, bass, drums).
I guess having had a polyglot, globe-trotting art historian and artist for a mother, as well as a press-photographer, science historian and general renaissance man for a father will do that to a person.
